Contaminated Land Remediation

Remediation of industrial site

Cost-effective and compliant remediation

Geo-Logix has an extensive track record in managing contaminated sites and providing contamination remediation services. As every project can have unique contamination issues, adequate site characterisation and risk identification is required to provide the most suitable and cost-efficient site remediation solution.

We have in depth experience in defining soil, groundwater and vapour contamination and fixing your problems. We provide tailored assessment reports and detailed site investigations that clearly define the human and ecological risks and offer remediation solutions that meet the requirements of your site and stakeholders.

Our highly experienced project managers unite geological, hydrogeological and geochemical data with the site’s history and contaminant profile to determine suitable remediation alternatives and develop a site specific RAP (Remediation Action Plan). We will advise you on the cost impact of solutions and ensure that you will meet all requirements for the proposed land use. Geo-Logix also delivers environmental management plans and validates remediation activities.

Waste Classification and Asbestos
Geo-Logix also assists clients in their waste management by undertaking soil testing and classification and advising on disposal and reuse options. Geo-Logix Steps to Successful Site Remediation

Preliminary Site Investigation (Phase 1)

Perform a desktop study to review historical records, land use information and site conditions to identify contamination risks.

Detailed Site Investigation (Phase 2)

A sampling program is formulated to assess the nature and extent of contamination, including groundwater and surface water monitoring, soil vapour/air quality assessments and waste classification.

Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessment

An assessment of the risks posed by any contamination is undertaken and will incorporate modelling exercises, if required. Communicate the pros and cons of remediation alternatives to the client so that they can make an informed decision.

Remedial Action Plan (RAP)

Documents the remediation requirements and methodologies to be utilised to remediate the site. As a remediator, Geo-Logix will work with contractors (civil and remediation) to ensure remediation is completed in a professional, safe and comprehensive manner.

Validation Report

Records the remedial works performed and relevant legislative requirements. It provides evidence to confirm that site remediation has occurred according to the RAP and meets relevant legislative requirements for the proposed land use.
